NEW DELHI: Pankaj Tandon, 17, had an equally harrowing time. He had set out from his Moti Nagar residence around 8.30am. "I have an open school exam at 12 noon in Noida. I am to appear for the business studies paper. I had consciously set out early so that I could reach the examination centre on time," he said.
However, Pankaj got stuck at the DND flyway which was shut for a while by the agitating Gujjars.
"I managed to reach Noida Gate around 11.30pm. But, once again, the Gujjars had blocked the road with tractors. Now, I am certain that I will miss the exam. It's already 12.15 pm and I see no signs of this jam ending anytime soon," the dejected teenager said.
The Gujjar protesters had no time for commuters' problems. "It is a question of our livelihood," one of agitators, who had put up a road blockade, said.
